We’ve kicked off our exciting new topic, Sounds of Celebrations! This launch has been packed with amazing workshops to inspire our learning this term:
• James from Swansea Arena showed us the magic of drums and rhythm.
• DJ Andy Hunter, who has performed worldwide and had music featured in films, shared his experiences and skills.
• Siany and Amanda J from Swansea Bay and Nation Radio taught us about life in a radio station and how sound travels.
• One Heart Drummer gave us the chance to explore different drums and beats.
• Volcano Theatre brought music and movement together, teaching us dance moves and helping us create our own group dances.
• Aderinola Omole introduced us to the talking drum, explaining how it is used to communicate, celebrate, and share messages through rhythm and tone.
This exciting start will help our children think about what they would like to learn this term as we explore the world of sound, music, and celebration.
