We became an accredited School of Sanctuary in 2023.
Please visit the Gallery and scroll down for evidence before September 2025. (Look back in the archive blocks)
"The Schools of Sanctuary network supports the thousands of children and young people seeking sanctuary in the UK, raises awareness of the experiences of people seeking safety, and plays a key role in building a culture of kindness and compassion.
Schools are the heart of our communities and are central to building a better, fairer and kinder society – for everyone.
The Schools of Sanctuary programme aims to advise, support and inspire schools to achieve these goals."

Schools of Sanctuary is part of our every day ethos and provision in Christchurch - Treating others how you want to be treated. Schools of Sanctuary supports our Peace Mala work and it helps us to use our 12 School Values.
If you would like to collaborate with us - please send us an email.
In February 2026, we planned a whole school focus on our Schools Of Sanctuary work. To support our Values and school ethos we decided February would be a good month because in February we learn about St Dwynwen and Valentines day - a month were we really look at showing kindness and treating others how we want to be treated.
Here are some photographs of our work we carried out.
Refugee Week is in June 2026 and we have already signed up to take part. The theme this year will be 'Courage'.
Through out the year we have taken part in many activities:
We interviewed Onjali Q. Rauf who wrote 'Boy at the back of the class' book.
We made posters to show what we have learned.
We have displays in the main corridor with lots of information.
KS2 wrote letters to refugees.
Our Agents of Change go on missions.
We helped our friends at LLangattock Primary school with their provision for Peace Mala and Schools of Sanctuary.
