Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 Oriel Science
Pupils from Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 recently enjoyed an exciting educational visit to Oriel Science, where they took part in a fascinating journey through the universe. The trip offered a unique hands-on learning experience, allowing students to explore key scientific concepts in a fun and engaging way.
During the visit, pupils discovered how scientists use ultraviolet (UV) and infrared (IR) light to study objects in space. They experimented with different types of light, learning how each reveals hidden features of the universe that are invisible to the naked eye. The children also explored how meteors and asteroids travel through space, discussing their impact on Earth and how they are studied by astronomers.
The trip to Oriel Science left the children inspired and full of curiosity about the universe. It strengthened their understanding of science and sparked exciting classroom discussions that continue even after their return to school.
