We can't wait to share with you all of the fun we have in this website. Keep an eye out for news, updates and photographs of our trips and wonderful work. I am Miss Herbert and together with Mrs Allen, Mrs Lang,Mrs Tyrrell-Howell and Miss O'reilly, we really enjoy teaching the boys and girls in FP2, who always work hard and together we are reaching our potential!
We are extremely proud of all of the pupils and working in Christchurch, they make us smile every day!

We had a fabulous fun day at Pembrey Country Park on Thursday.
The School Sports Day was a great success. We warmed up and were ready to start!
We all did our best and had lots of fun. Thank you for supporting us.
We had a fabulous time at the Tram shed Museum. We enjoyed dressing up as Victorian people and singing old songs. It was fun.
We also visited the Waterfront Museum.
At the beach we measured the distance we could throw the beanbags and we timed how long it took to fill the bottles with sand. We also found North and recorded the temperature. Then we made sand art in the style of Andy Goldsworthy.
The chicks enjoyed having lots of room to move around. They were brave and came to look at us.
They were exhausted after their adventure so they went straight to sleep. A few slept in their food bowl!
It's the last day with our chicks. We have looked after them well but they need more space as they are growing so quickly.
Can you see how the chicks are growing and developing wing feathers? They flap about and jump around. They also like to snuggle together and sleep after being fed.
We held the chicks very carefully. They had wiggly feet and they were very soft and fluffy.
We feed the chicks and give them clean water three times a day. Mrs Allen cleans the brooding box!
The chicks are growing every day.
The chicks have hatched and are doing well.

Look what we've been watching today! I wonder how many chicks will have hatched by tomorrow morning!
Today we went to Victoria Park. We found out that it has been there since 1887. We met Paul who helps to look after the park and achieve its Green Flag Award. We were also invited to have a go at bowling!
We enjoyed using a compass to find the North, South, East and West. Then we followed instructions and walked in a given direction.We also checked the temperature. It went up to 26°C.

We have used maps to find Swansea and other places in Wales. Then we were creative and made pictures of Swansea.
This term we are enjoying the Travel Agency in our classroom. We take phone messages and help our customers choose their holiday. We have even made our own holiday brochures!
We had a FUN PIRATE DAY! In Expressive Arts we acted like real pirates!
FP2 had a MESSY MORNING!
Well done Mrs Lang! In our circus event you were able to Hula Hoop for 3 Minutes!
Poppy and Mohammed represented FP2 on the School Council trip in UWTSD for the Swansea Learning Festival.
This week we have been learning about pit ponies. We made models and measured their length.

Year 2 passed the 10 week Road Safety Programme
FP2 had an amazing World Book Day celebration!
Year 2 took part in a workshop with PC Paul about Rules.
We had a great time learning about animals today. Can you find an armadillo, toucan, bearcat, opossum, lizard and a redfoot tortoise? Thank you A & S Animal Encounters .
We went BUG HUNTING with the RSPB!
We have been WORD WIZARDS!
We went to the Glynn Vivian. We became REAL ARTISTS!
FP2 had a BRILLIANT Day celebrating India
It's a great time of the year but we won't forget the true meaning of Christmas. Merry Christmas everybody. Nadolig Llawen pawb.
We had a fantastic Christmas party.

Our recent displays in Year 2
We have been learning about Fairytales.
Who is your FAVOURITE character? Why?
We showed our school values at a recent trip to Plantasia! We had insects on our HEAD!
We were lucky to be asked to make a Fairytale tree in St Mary's Church and we enjoyed singing too!
We are taking part in a Creativity Research project to help us improve our painting skills! Look out as we will be displaying our art work in a real gallery in the Grand Theatre in April!
We love changing our Role Play corner. What shall we build next?
In February, we were visited by the local Fire Service. We got to dress up! Roedd hi'n fab!
We celebrated St David and St Dwynwen's day so we used our Maths skills to measure, mix and make yummy cookies!
