SOS Schools of Sanctuary

Christchurch primary has been a ‘beacon of hope, care and love’ for many years. We have a welcoming ethos, and as the only Church in Wales school in Swansea, we strongly believe in ‘treating others how you want to be treated’.

We became a Peace Mala Accredited school in 2014 and through the years we have continued our journey gaining Gold status in 2023.

We have made links with many people seeking sanctuary, by inviting speakers in, collaborating with SOS in Swansea and supporting organisations.

As a school, we feel we have enhanced our knowledge and understanding, worked with all stakeholders and learnt about how/why people seek sanctuary as well as how we can support people in need.
