Topic: Sounds of Celebration
Welcome to Nursery and Reception. We are all looking forward to an exciting Spring term, where we can work together to make this a happy time in your child's education.
This term our topic is Sounds of Celebration. During our topic launch day the children enjoyed experiences with DJ Andy Hunter, One Heart Drummers, A Musician from the Arena and Siany and Angela J DJs from Nation radio. The children had a very enjoyable day. Please see our website for photos. This term the children have asked if we can learn more about music, musical instruments and dancing. Along side our topic we will also have daily literacy, numeracy and RVE lessons.
We will be doing lots of fun, multi-sensory activities with messy play opportunities and outdoor learning. Our independent learning activities (Lighthouse Learning) will be themed around our topic, literacy or numeracy focus.
During the week all children will have multiple opportunities to visit the different zones in the classroom as well as outside.
During collective worship we will take turns to create our own prayers to God. We will read and retell stories from the bible. Our values this term are Creativity and Justice.
