Here is the up to date news:
A School of Sanctuary is a school that is committed to being a safe and welcoming place for all, especially those seeking sanctuary. This could be people whose lives were in danger in their own country, who have troubles at home or are just looking for a space of safety. A School of Sanctuary is a school that helps its students, staff and wider community understand what it means to be seeking sanctuary and to extend a welcome to everyone as equal, valued members of the school community. It is a school that is proud to be a place of safety and inclusion for all.
We have been making provision for people seeking sanctuary for many many years and we feel ready now in 2023 to take part in the accreditation.
Schools of Sanctuary are for everyone: the school itself, pupils, parents, communities, local people and people seeking sanctuary. At Christchurch Primary School, we are proud to be a place of safety and inclusion for all.

The applications to apply for a super ambassador position were outstanding! Thank you to everyone who applied. It was a real tough job to whittle them down! The SMT and governors found it hard to pick. Congratulations and good luck in helping Mrs Davies to make our school even better! Miss Herbert
A HUGE thankyou! DIOLCH YN FAWR! For all of your donations in our Harvest service today. The donations will go to Matthew's House.
If any parents, friends or governors would like to join our Agents of Change please see Miss Herbert
September 15th 2022 - We all went to a service at Christchurch Church to honour and celebrate the memory of Queen Elizabeth.
A child from KS2 described the queen in a beautiful sentiment:
" The queen was like an umbrella. She protected us from things and kept us safe, like an umbrella keeps you dry when it rains."
The royal family are in our prayers. School will be closed on Monday 19th September.
All of the children and staff work very hard to take part in projects alongside our daily school day. Visit the GALLERY to see the projects.
Click on the purple sign post 'Children' then 'Gallery'.
If you would like anymore information or have a comment to make about any of the projects, please email the school.
